I will state my reason as to why I support Rich Rodriguez. I read an opinion from a blogger on azstar and we both agree on why Rich Rodriguez should be considered. First of all I’ve been saying the only person on my list would be Rich Rodriguez. Let’s not go down the road as we did with the hunt for a basketball coach. At that time the only names I had on my list were Dino Gaudio or Sean Miller. Back to football it surprises me that Scott Terrell would consider Mike Leach over Rich Rodriguez. On the sideline which coach would pass for Arizona good Leach or Rodriguez. Who has the experience in coaching two big time football programs? Rich Rodriguez at Michigan and West Virginia. Which coach has players he recruited on two different football teams now ranked in the top 25? Rich Rodriguez. Now back to that blogger on azstar. He mentioned the hiring of Rich Rodriguez would extend an olive branch to the predominantly Latino community here in Tucson. So it didn’t work out in Michigan because as you know Michigan hired a new athletic director who fired Rich Rodriguez after 3 years. Come on what does that tell you? The guy wanted his own hire and now they’re winning with Rich Rodriguez recruits.
